All jewelry is made in Finland, mainly out of gold, silver or bronze.

The Kalevala Eyewear design is inspired by Kalevalas Jewellery and each model is based on a specific jewelry that also has given its name to the frame. Each frame comes with a card where you can read the story about the jewelry.
Irene Toreheim is Opo Scandinavia´s designer, dedicated to Kalevala Eyewear. She creates two new collections every year with modern, stylish frames where the jewelry itself is allowed to take space and stand out.

We have an amazing collaboration with Kalevala regarding the design. Irene is the expert on materials and fittings and lets her insights regarding eyewear trends shine through. The Kalevala team makes sure that every frame has the same high standard as the jewelry.
Our Kalevala Eyewear collections are mainly made in dark colors to match the silver Jewelry.
