Two Fall Themes

Two almost opposite themes run through the fall collection from Swedish KunoQvist: modern minimalist with clean, simple lines and hyper casual – a playful mix of colour and pattern. Among the fall’s novelties are spectacle frames for people who want to be inspired and challenge the expected.

Modern Minimalistic

The style is characterized by a modern, sleek expression, without patterns and embellishments, but whereas colours are in focus. A fine example of the minimalist style is the frame Macaw with its distinct contours and clean design. The feeling of having been cut from a sheet of paper is evident in the angular and sharp shape that is highlighted with a strong colour. For men, the theme is expressed in the frame Diskus, where a modern interpretation of the classic pilot model is found, with the colour scheme enhancing the sharp graphic elements.

Hyper Casual

In contrast, there is the model Zinnia with a playful expression reflected in a two-coloured front in contrasting tones. Here, shapes, colours, and patterns are mixed for a bold effect. KunoQvist's design team has drawn inspiration from the second-hand community, where the hyper casual trend is about freely mixing colours and patterns for a more personal style. The red men's frame Basslet is an example of how one can push the boundaries of the expected with a vibrant mix of patterns and colours.

The new KunoQvist collection is available in August 2024.
